My name is Alex Ottoson, I am in grade 11 and I play Steve Marsh. I have been in No Script Sherlock, W-O's Improv team, Reel Times at Sommer Set High, Emma! A Pop Musical and a all the Coffee Houses put on by W-O. My favourite part of being in this show is getting to hang out with and meet amazing people. I auditioned because I really love theater and I feel really lucky to be a part of it. I can't wait for everyone to see this incredible show.

Actor headshot

Sophie Ernewein

Pamela Marsh

My name is Sophie Ernewein, I'm in grade 10 and I play Pamela Marsh. I have only been in one other play called Real Times at Somerset High where I played Ari. My favorite part about being in this play is all the wonderful people I get to work with, some people I knew from previous theatre experience and others I met through Silver Dagger and now I'm best friends with. I auditioned because after Real Times at Somerset High I found my love for acting, It brought me joy on a day I wasn't joyful, and when I found out we had a play coming I jumped at the opportunity to audition. If I had to choose a favorite character I would choose Gemma, she shows the audience an important part of the story. I can't wait for everyone to see this amazing show.

I am in W-Os Drama Club, Drama Council and perform in every Coffeehouse and show available. My favourite part of being involved in this show is the cast and crew, I have met such amazing people and made great friends through this experience. I auditioned for this show because I really enjoy theatre and have been involved since grade 9. I cant wait for everyone to see this incredible show. :)

Actor headshot

Camille Cressman

Christine Dodd

Camille Cressman is a 14 year old girl in grade 9. She is playing the role of Christine Dodd. She has been in one production outside of school, in Plattsville, "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe". She auditioned for this play because she wanted to get involved with extra curricular activities to have a good high school experience, and because she loves to be dramatic. She loves that this play has a lot of plot twists, and it has some pretty exciting fight scenes. Her favourite character in the play is Pamela Marsh because she stands up against her husband Steve, (who is Camille's least favourite character). She loves to read, do crafts, such as clay and crochet, and play piano. Her favourite subjects are drama and math. She is involved with the play, and other W-O clubs such as Stix (the knitting and crochet club), and the Outers Club. She is excited for everyone to come see this increible production!.

Liv Logan

Gemma Dodd

Liv Logan is a 14 year old grade 9. She plays Gemma Dodd. She has been in two productions with Theater Wellesley (A Good Old Fashioned Big Family Christmas, All's Fair.) She plays hockey for the Wilmot Wolverines and softball for the Waterloo Ghosts. She has been enjoying her first year of high school and loves all the clubs and the new friends she has made. She is excited for everyone to see this incredible production!

Actor headshot

Phoenix Charland

Tony Bishop

I've only been apart of one other production, Reel Times at Sommerset High, where I had a very minor role, but it was amazing, I loved being a part of the ensemble and being able to participate! I wanted to audition for Silver Dagger because I figured 'Why not? This chance is never going to come again anyways, the best I can do is take it now," I decided to auditon and was still prepared to give my best effort, and that's what I think really gave me a chance. I'm not too much like Tony in the regard that I don't really like messing around with cars and mechanics, I like making jewelry and crocheting much more. Other then that, I'm also a part of W.O.s Improv Team, No Script Sherlock!

Director

Director headshot

Huxley Morton

It has been an honor to debut my directing career alongside such talented, dedicated individuals with a play as captivating as Silver Dagger by David French. Performances that lean more towards the dramatic side tend to connect with me - and wider audiences - on a deeper, more compelling level than comedic ones, which made applying for the director position on this particular production especially appealing. With each passing rehearsal, our crew and I slowly found ourselves becoming more enthralled and absorbed into the intricate, unpredictable mystery the story provides. The endeavor of piecing this play together has not been without our fair share of bumps and turns, but our rather lively cast has an aptitude for bouncing back and overcoming the obstacles thrown their way with adaptability and optimism.

Every small detail on our set was carefully crafted by our amazing team of industrious students from a wide variety of W-O departments. You may only see the six of us on stage, but dozens of creative minds created the world our actors portray - and it's all the better because of them. I'm incredibly fortunate, and proud to direct my first production with this cast, this crew, and everyone else whose contributions made our show possible.

Producer

Producer headshot

Alecia Sparks

My name is Alecia Sparks and I am a Drama, Civics and History teacher at W-O and the Producer of the Production "Silver Dagger" by David French. I have always enjoyed being involved with acting in my youth and was excited to be able to continue to help others develop a love for theatre when I was hired on the WRDSB as a Drama teacher. Since being hired with the WRDSB I have produced many shows at the various schools I have been working at. Silver Dagger is a challenging piece that our students at W-O have met head on. I am proud of all of our cast, crew and behind the scenes members who have helped make this production a success.
